RCG Solidarity Statement: Ghana Teachers Strike

The Education Commission of the Rastafari Council of Ghana stands in solidarity with Ghana’s teachers as they suspend their strike following government commitments made in negotiations with GNAT, NAGRAT, and PRETAG.
Beyond settling outstanding payments, the government must urgently remove administrative bottlenecks delaying salaries, promotions, postings, benefits, and other entitlements; publish clear resolution timelines; assign officials to monitor implementation; and maintain transparent channels for teachers and unions to report unresolved matters for prompt remedies. These preventable issues must no longer undermine teachers’ livelihoods or disrupt our children’s education.
