In a move to celebrate the natural beauty of Sierra Leone and promote environmental consciousness, the President of the Rastafari Council of Sierra Leone, Secretary General, Amb. Mohamed Lyrics Bangura and Ras Ngululu a member of the Rastafari Elder Council Sierra Leone undertook a spiritual and cultural excursion to the Mambo Waterfalls.

The visit, which included a scenic hike through the hills of the Western Rural District, was aimed at connecting with the earth, community and highlighting the importance of conserving the nation’s, natural, untapped resources.

Welcoming the delegation of the Rastafari Council of Sierra Leone, Former Headman of Mambo Village and manager of the Mambolo Waterfalls, Julius Amara commonly called Sheku expressed thanks and appreciation to the their timely visit.

Julius Amara disclosed that there is huge land available for the Rastafari Council Sierra Leone for, repatriation, Agriculture, eco-tourism, education and many more.

The former headman of Mambo Village noted the site's role in creating jobs and boosting tourism for the Rastafari Council Sierra Leone members.

He called for improved infrastructure such as roads to support the area.

Mambo Waterfalls located just outside Freetown, is renowned for its stunning landscape and rich biodiversity.

Speaking during the visit, the Rastafari Council of Sierra Leone President, Larry Morgan emphasized the spiritual connection between Rastafari principles and the protection of "Mama Salone’s" environment.

President Morgan noted that the Mambo Waterfalls often described as a "hidden gem", serves as a testament to the creator's beauty and a place for meditation and community bonding.

He said the council will make use of the available land for Agriculture and other developmental purposes.
