EWF Sierra Leone to launch Arts & Crafts Project in May 2026

The Ethiopian World Federation Incorporated (EWF) Sierra Leone Local Charter #150 has announced the official launch of its Arts and Crafts Project, scheduled for May 2026 at No. 2 River.
The initiative will begin with a 2-day intensive training, aimed at equipping participants with practical skills in arts and crafts to promote self-reliance, creativity, and income generation within communities.
Speaking on the upcoming launch, EWF President, Ambassador Mohamed Lyrics Bangura, encouraged Sierra Leoneans—especially women—to take full advantage of the training. He emphasized the importance of empowering individuals through hands-on skills that can create sustainable livelihoods.
Ambassador Bangura also disclosed that the project will expand to other communities, including Leicester Road, Charlotte Village, Grafton, Kuntoloh, and Waterloo, to ensure broader community impact.
He further highlighted that arts and crafts training is essential for children and youth, as it nurtures creativity, builds confidence, and provides practical skills that can lead to entrepreneurship and long-term development.
The launch marks a significant step in EWF’s mission to support vulnerable groups and strengthen community empowerment across Sierra Leone.
